Portfolio of an Artist for Video Games
Who am I?

Hi, I’m Uma Gadzhieva! I’m a game artist specializing in visuals. My responsibilities include concept art, particularly environments and characters. However, I’m actively expanding my scope beyond what I’ve already created. I also work with personal-crafted game assets and 3D objects. My visual style ranges from cartoonish to more realistic imagery. I work in a wide range of styles, experimenting and trying new things. Surrealistic motifs are often found in my projects. My goal is to work with clients who prefer a unique approach to game art. I can offer a variety of unusual visual solutions. Below are some of the highlights of my experience as a video game artist.
1. Song of the Stream (RUS: Песнь Потока), 2026

The character concept art for the upcoming solarpunk adventure and simulator Song of the Flow is my latest work. It combines anime style with elements of realism.Tools used: Adobe Photoshop.

2. Petalfall, 2026

Petalfall is a 2D computer game in the florist simulator genre with creepy elements. I tried to create a style reminiscent of the animated illustrations of a gothic novel. This project is my largest and most significant to date. Here, I created not only concept art but also in-game assets, locations, sprites, and even animations.Tools used: Adobe Photoshop, FireAlpaca64.

All animations were created frame by frame and using puppet warping in Photoshop.

3. Be Scared, Please! , 2024

Be Scared, Please! is a 3D isometric puzzle game. In this project, I created the 3D space, objects, post-process materials, characters, and textures. The characters' appearances and the environments combine something simultaneously frightening and adorable. Creating this contrast was my primary goal. The game features a retro style.Tools used: Adobe Photoshop, FireAlpaca64, Blender, Unreal Engine.
