Pre-production for the CONTFORM 1935 exhibition — preparation for participation in the «Global City» exhibition and the SREDA festival.
The PROJECT CONTRFORM 1935 was developed in collaboration during the first module of the 1st Year Art Practice. Throughout the first module of the 2nd Year, we focused on developing and advancing it further. Our mission was to exhibit the project in shows and competitions, and to disseminate it across various media.
Our objectives were: — exhibiting the project in one gallery show — entering the project in one competition — developing the project’s motion graphics presentation
Next, we will outline our responsibilities, creative decisions, and resulting achievements.
Task 1: Participating in one exhibition
While working on the project, we also planned to participate in the «Global City» exhibition by the School, which will open in the fall of 2026.
The project has currently been accepted into the competition. The exhibition coordinator from the School Gallery has already contacted us. We are awaiting the final decision.
The exhibition moderators were sent a long read, the link to which is provided above.

Task 2: Project participation in one competition
As a competition, we selected the SREDA New Design Festival, and the nomination within it was for art object and installation concepts.SREDA is one of the most significant and prominent events in the advertising industry and the design sphere—both Russian and international. That is why participating in this competition felt important to us as part of our mission. For us, this is not only an opportunity to receive a nomination for the project but also to disseminate it across the media sphere.
Task 3: Developing the motion presentation of a project
In our view, without completing this task, it would have been impossible to realize the first two.The main goal was to augment the project with a greater amount of motion design than was present at the time of Module 4 of the 1st Year. The new finished material can be viewed both here and via the link to the SREDA festival.
Assessing the benefit and significance of the work completed:
We want to note that even while working on the project itself, we felt the convenience of co-authorship: each task was divided in half and completed twice as fast. By coordinating, we managed to navigate the entire process of creating and developing the project across media. Now, we just have to wait for the results and hope for the best!
