This book is based on Anton Volnenko’s visual study, «Typology of Dispassionate Photography.» The study identifies four core types of dispassionate photography: urban, portrait, nature, and society. The defining characteristic of this approach is detachment and restraint. The works lack excessive emotionality or hyperbole. The project’s goal is to adapt this research for print format without compromising its structure or logic.

Complementing the introduction is an insert that reviews each chapter. The review includes brief descriptions of the publication’s chapters, lists the names of the primary photographers, and provides thumbnails of images from the respective chapters. The page number where each chapter begins is indicated under its title. The back of the insert features bonus material—a photograph that did not make the final selection for the visual study. The insert is printed on a single sheet, double-sided.
